My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🍒 Meet Cherry – The Sweetheart You’ve Been Waiting For! 🍒
(Ready for adoption at the Richland County Dog Shelter, Mansfield, OH)

Straight from nature’s candy bowl comes Cherry — a gentle little love muffin who’s as soft as a summer breeze and just as sweet. She arrived as a stray on May 4th, 2025, and while her past may be a mystery, one thing is crystal clear: she’s ripe for love.

💗 Age: About 2 years old
🍓 Vibe: Shy at first, like the first bite of a new fruit — but give her a little patience and she blossoms into pure sugary sweetness
💋 Love Language: All the kisses! She’ll soak them up like sunshine on a cherry tree
🌷 Energy: Gentle, quiet, and tender — perfect for a peaceful home that understands the beauty of calm moments
🌿 Health: Spayed, heartworm/lyme negative, and current on her rabies vaccine

The shelter can be overwhelming for delicate souls like Cherry. She’s the kind of dog who needs a little extra warmth, a gentle touch, and a cozy place to call home. But once she knows you’re safe? Oh, the love she’ll give will fill your heart to the brim.

She’s not just sweet — she’s soul-soothing. The kind of dog who would be happy watching the world go by from your lap, your side, or the window of a peaceful living room.
