My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cocoa is a charming, always-happy girl who wears her joy right on her face, literally! She greets her people with a big, heart-melting smile every time, making it impossible not to fall in love. Cocoa adores people and has previously lived in a foster home with two kids, where she did great and showed her gentle, loving nature.

She gets along well with other dogs and, once she’s warmed up, she’s happy to jump into a fun round of playful roughhousing. Cocoa is the perfect mix of sweet and spirited, bringing sunshine, laughter, and lots of tail wags wherever she goes.

Cocoa has been with CARE for over 240 days and majority of that time was spent in a foster home. We believe her time is soon on finding that loving forever home she has been searching for.

From her foster: Cocoa has been the best house guest ever. She comes running to you when you get home and is ready to give you so much love while wiggling and hopping around. She has never made a mess or got into anything at all. She’s gentle on her toys, but the girl still loves to play. She especially love anything that squeaks!

Cocoa is the biggest love bug. If you are looking for a sweet and clingy pup who just wants love, Cocoa is a perfect match. She is a big fan of giving you kisses on the nose and always leans up against you to hug you. Want to sit down with her and give her a big long hug? She’ll rest her chin on your shoulder for as long as you need! Did you leave the room? Cocoa is coming, too! She groans when there is no one to snuggle with and will give you a nose boop and a stare if she decides you should be giving her love. She’s an absolute angel and has nothing but love to give.

Cocoa is extremely well behaved, modest yet goofy, house trained, and even knows a few tricks. She’s been in a home with children and did beautifully. She is friendly with dogs but unsure about cats. She has shown no signs of aggression, all she wants is love. Whoever gets to adopt sweet Cocoa girl is quite a lucky person!
