My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Barney and His Brother!
These two sweet pups were found in a crowded shelter in Texas, but their story took a hopeful turn when Sylvia's Promise stepped in to rescue them. Since then, they've been showered with love and care, and are now thriving in a foster home in New Jersey.

Barney and his brother are affectionate, playful, and always ready for a snuggle. They're truly wonderful dogs looking for a forever family who will love them as much as they love each other.

Could you be the home they’ve been waiting for?

Additional adoption info

When adopting a dog, there are several things you should expect to ensure a smooth transition for both you and your new furry friend. Here are some general guidelines to consider:

Patience: Your newly adopted dog may feel overwhelmed in their new environment. It’s important to be patient and understanding as they adjust to their new home.

Structure: Establishing clear routines and boundaries will help your dog feel secure and adapt more easily 2.
Care and Attention: Dogs, especially puppies, require constant care, attention, and socialization to thrive.

Financial Considerations: Owning a dog involves long-term financial commitments such as adoption fees, medical bills, food, grooming, and other expenses

More about this rescue

Sylvia's Promise Rescue, Inc is a 501c3 Non Profit

Sylvia's Promise Rescue was formed when we became aware of the extent of the incredible abuse and neglect of animals in South Texas. Two gorgeous black dogs from the Mathis Tx. shelter started our journey from fostering to transport to rescue.

Our mission, with the help of our rescue partners, is to save as many as we can. Compassion, honesty, and integrity are the foundation of our efforts.

Please help us save dogs by supporting Sylvia's Promise Rescue though adoption, fostering, or donations.
