If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Carl is a mix of pit bull, blue heeler, and boxer (one parent was full pit bull and one parent was 50/50 boxer/blue heeler). We got Carl from a family in the area when he was around 3 months old. He just turned 5. He is a very sweet boy, but can be reactive to seeing people or people with other dogs. He has a loud bark, but he has never bitten anyone or any other dog. He has experience with medium and small dogs (small being a 6 pound dog) and has played well with them. He has been around infants and early toddler aged kids and has seemed to do well with them (does like to lick in the face). He is crate trained but not house trained well. He is harness trained (best with a front lead harness). We did just take him to a 10 day training to focus on his reactiveness. He is doing better and we continue to work with him with an e collar and prong collar. He is a very sweet and silly boy that we are hoping finds a family that has more space to give him and more time to keep up with training
