Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone my name is Cricket and I was recently taken into the rescue after being passed around to various people. So, sadly I was purchased by a family member for another family member however the receiving family member had no interest in having a rabbit as a pet. They were not prepared with housing, food, litter...nothing at all. This is why we always say to never purchase any species of animal for someone else as you do not really know if they want the gift.
So, from there I was passed to a few family members but no one wanted me and I was posted on a local town page as "free to good home". That is never good when it comes to a rabbit and thankfully someone saw the post and contacted the rescue.
When I arrived I didn't even have a name!!! My foster mom named me Cricket and I love it. So happy to have my own name. Since I arrived I have been seen by a vet and also spayed. I have perfect litter box habits and we do not believe I am not much older than a year of age. I weigh 3 1/2 lbs and I am full grown. I am a bit shy when you first meet me after all I have been through but warm up quickly with some gentle caressing and sweet talk. I may do well as a bonding bun for any neutered males searching for a friend.
I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy Pellets, lots of timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water. I also so far love romaine, banana, apple and carrot.
Would you consider opening your heart to an overlooked bun like me?
