Hi. My name is Optimus and I’m ready for my forever home. But I do have some non-negotiables so I can be the bestest boy ever!
1. Patience. Lots of patience. I’m a very shy boy and it takes me a bit to warm up to new people. I love getting petted and shown love, but would like to do it on my own time.
2. Another doggo friend in the home. Having another friend definitely helps me feel more at ease. I tend to stick to my new friend until I start to feel more comfortable.
I love having my own kennel so I can go in there when I’m feeling overwhelmed or just want to chill out. I sleep in my kennel all night. It’s my little safe space.
I get along with all my foster siblings, even the feline kind. They leave me alone and I leave them alone. If they do try to bully me, I just go the other way. I don’t like their skippity paps.
I have mastered the doggy door and stand by the door when I need to go potty. I love being outside. Since I’m still a young pup, I like to find yummy things to chew on and I like to play a lot with one of my foster siblings.
I’m a super sweet guy, just let me get to know you on my own time. I even like the little humans cause I get to lay with them and watch TV. Once I get to know you, I like coming up to you for some pets and love.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
