Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A Letter From Goofy's Foster Mom
Goofy came to me unsure, quiet, and carrying a lot of hesitation - after all, he’s been a shelter dog since May.
Within days, I watched him start to believe in himself again. He is one of those rare souls who tries so hard to be brave, even when the world feels big. And when he finally decides you’re safe? His whole body softens, his tail starts wagging, and he melts into you with a kind of gratitude you can feel.
He’s wonderfully behaved in the house: fully house trained, crate trained, and happiest curled up in a blanket or laying his head on your lap. He adores his stuffies — especially his little cow, which he looks for every night before tucking himself into bed. It’s impossible to watch him proudly carrying that cow without smiling.
Goofy loves a quick round of ball, a gentle walk, and being near his person. He rides beautifully in the car, does great on walks, and never says no to a treat. At his core, he is a snuggler — a sweet, sensitive boy who just wants to belong again.
He can be unsure with new people at first, but he warms beautifully with patience, calm energy, and a few tossed treats. Once he chooses you, he loves you with a deep, sincere loyalty that’s impossible not to fall for. He’s thoughtful, gentle, and simply needs someone who will meet him where he is and celebrate how far he’s come.
Watching him rebuild his confidence has been one of the most special parts of fostering him. He isn’t a “project dog.” He is a good dog who just needed a soft place to land — and he’s ready for a forever home that gives him the gentleness, steadiness, and love he’s been missing.
If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you, who will try his hardest every single day, and who will meet you with quiet companionship and a tender heart… Goofy is ready. He deserves the next chapter of his life to be the best.
With love,
Goofy’s Foster Mom 🤍
