My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arugula (Rugi for short), is a sweet, affectionate pup with a heart full of love and a bright personality. She’s silly, easygoing, and perfectly content lounging at home while you’re at work—no separation anxiety, no messes, just a chill companion waiting to greet you with tail wags and snuggles. While Rugi can be reactive to other dogs on leash and hasn’t been tested with cats, her ideal home would be a calm, pet-free environment where she can truly shine. Because she has a few touch sensitivities, she’d do best in an adult-only household where she can feel safe, loved, and understood.

Personality & Characteristics: Rugi is goofy, playful, polite and calm
My foster dog is good with: Rugi is leash reactive to dogs and would be best in a home without children. Unsure she may be friendly with cats
My foster dog is: Crate trained, house trained
3 Keywords for your pup: Sweet, silly, chill
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 4-5
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet pup at home and even when left alone at home or alone in her crate, she is not a barker. Barks when someone rings the doorbell or is outside the window.
Walking Manners: Leash reactive to other dogs
Appetite: Good, healthy appetite and does not beg when her people are eating
Favorite Things: Being chased around with her toys, chicken, couch naps
Commands/Tricks:  Sit, down, stay, spin, roll over, paw

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
