My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Red is a thick mixed breed, likely has some boxer in her.  She is around 55 lbs.  Red is listed as special needs because she is heartworm positive.

Red is fine around and with other dogs, specifically her companion Shortly, who she arrived with. We do suggest meet and greet with any new housemate prior to us approving an adoption.

Red is super shy of new people and does take a bit of time to warm up to each new person she meets.

If you have interest please stop in to meet her or give us a call if you have questions.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
