We're obsessed with a boy...and the boy's name is Petey. 😍
That's right - the cutest, happiest, sweetest little guy is available for adoption, and is currently living his best life in his foster home! ❤ Read below for what his fosters have to say about this smiley fella:
"Petey is an absolute love bug! He is friends with every person he meets. He makes his rounds through the neighborhood, usually walking with a toy in his mouth. He is excellent on a leash, only pulling a bit if he sees wildlife. He is fully housebroken. Zero accidents! He listens very well and knows a lot of commands - sit, stay, shake. He does not rush the front door when you open it, nor does he jump on guests when they enter. Total gentleman!
"Petey's #1 favorite activity is playing fetch. He would do it all day, every day and never seems to wear out. We also learned that he is a water dog. And if you combine his two loves - throwing a toy into the water to retrieve it - he is in heaven. He is a total Velcro dog and would do so well with someone who works from home. He really enjoys having his people close. We love him. He is an absolute good boy!!"
They also added a few notes for his future family: Petey has shown that he's not a fan of being crated, as his anxiety spikes being confined within a kennel. Instead, they keep him in a room with a couple toys while they're gone and have watched him via camera - he's had NO issues and no destructive behaviors. Petey also gets along well with his foster doggy sibling, going on daily walks with her, navigating the house without issues, riding in the car together, and sleeping in the same bed as her. However, Petey has shown anxiety with high-energy, active dogs, so a dog who shares in his love of chilling and occasionally playing would be his best fit! 🐶 Petey has also met older kids and has done well.
We knew Petey was amazing the moment we laid eyes on him, and from looking through these pictures and reading his updates, we couldn't be prouder! If this irresistible boy has caught your eye, go ahead and submit an application through his link below to set up a meet & greet soon! 💌
