Meet Wally! Wally is a petite, big-eyed 5.5 year-old sweetheart who arrived at HART in the summer of 2024. Since then, we’ve learned so much about this resilient girl. Wally is blind, likely due to detached retinas, and understandably, she was initially scared in her new environment. But with time, patience, and love, she has adjusted beautifully in Room 5, showing her remarkable ability to adapt.
She relies on her ears to navigate her world and has even started recognizing her favorite volunteers—especially when there’s a Churu treat involved! Despite her blindness, Wally is an active and playful girl. She loves carrying her favorite green toy balls in her mouth and batting them around with pure joy.
Wally would thrive in a cat-savvy home where she can feel safe and confident. While she doesn’t mind other cats, she prefers they respect her space, and might give them a little swat if they get too close, so she might enjoy being the only feline in the household. Because sudden changes in layout can be disorienting for her, a stable and understanding environment would be ideal.
Could you be the one to give Wally the loving, patient home she deserves? 💛
