This helps Town and Country Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Meet Jake! The Gentle Soul With a Heart of Gold!
At 10 years young, Jake is a sweet, soulful heeler mix who proves that age is just a number. This 62-pound gentleman has so much love left to give and he’s ready to share it with a forever family who’ll cherish him.
Jake came to us after some pack conflicts in his previous home, but he’s shown amazing growth in his foster care. With slow introductions and respectful dog friends, he’s learned to build new bonds, even becoming best buds with his foster dog siblings!
He’s a total people-lover, gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near his humans. Jake enjoys easy walks, cozy couch time, and even joins his foster family for 2-mile jogs every day (yes, he’s still got plenty of pep in his step!).
Jake is the full package: loyal, calm, loving, and still full of life. If you’re searching for a devoted walking partner and snuggle buddy, this handsome cattle dog will melt your heart.
The adoption fee is $250 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.
We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days.
Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day!
If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.
***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.
