My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone has a favorite Jennifer - Lopez, Coolidge, Lawrence, Garner… but whether you’re Team Aniston or Team Jolie, you are certain to fall in love with Jennifer the tortie cat!!

Our Jennifer is a young, spunky girl with serious main character energy! This little dynamo is equal parts playful acrobat and charming goofball. Jennifer is all about the action—she lives for playtime, especially with other young, rowdy cats who can match her energy. While not so much a fan of pina coladas or long walks on the beach, her perfect day does include lots of wrestling, chasing, and sneak attacks from behind the couch.

With humans, Jennifer has a bit of a diva streak. She’s not super into cuddles and may greet you with a dramatic hiss before strutting off to do her own thing. Think of her as that friend who’s hilarious and fun to be around, but not big on hugs. She’s a classic tortie - she’ll keep you entertained, but on her terms.

If you’re looking for a fun, fierce, and fabulously independent companion (especially one who will be besties with your other wild-child cats), Jennifer just might be your girl. She’s got sass, style, and a heart full of zoomies!

While Jennifer might be intimidated around children, she would likely get along with kiddos who love to play but respect her boundaries. Jennifer has met a few dogs in foster care and seems to have the confidence to coexist with them well!

Jennifer is around 1 year old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply for her (and a cat friend?) today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
