My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Craving something sweet? How about a cookie – our Cookie! She’s the best kind: friendly, affectionate, and impossible to resist. This two-year-old tortie is super social and absolutely loves meeting new people. Shy? Not this girl. She’ll happily strike up a conversation with your guests and expect pets from everyone she meets! Cookie is a chatty girl who will meow to let you (or your guests) know she’s ready for some attention or head rubs! And when it’s time to relax, don’t be surprised to find her curled up beside you - or even on top of you - making herself right at home on your chest. She loves to sleep close by in bed too. Playtime? Cookie is all in. She enjoys all kinds of toys and, after a good play session, she’ll settle into your lap for a cozy nap. She’s also a top-notch baker - biscuits are her specialty! She’ll knead your lap, and your hair, and might even wake you up with some early-morning baking. While she’s confident and outgoing, loud noises can sometimes startle her and send her into hiding for a bit. Otherwise, Cookie wants to be front and centre of your life. She thrives on human companionship and would do best in a home without other cats, but with someone who’s home often to keep her company.

Cookie came to us as an owner surrender when her previous family left the country. She arrived with her sister, but the two weren’t a bonded pair and seemed to prefer life apart. For this reason, we believe Cookie will do best as the only cat in the house.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, chatty lap cat who makes biscuits and loves being near her humans, Cookie is the treat you’ve been waiting for.

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first come, first served.
