Meet Halli!
Halli is a gentle, soulful mama who came to us after being confiscated with her five puppies. When she first arrived, she was scared and shut down—unsure who to trust and often cowering in fear. But with time, patience, plenty of praise, and some tasty treats, Halli began to blossom.
Now, she’s a total Velcro dog who walks beautifully on leash and adores affection. She’ll gladly snuggle up for pets, give sweet kisses, and wiggle her whole body with joy when she sees her favorite people—sometimes even letting out a little happy whine.
Halli is very people-focused and would thrive in a home where she can build a strong bond with her person. She’d likely do ok as an only dog, especially in a calm and patient environment where she can continue gaining confidence at her own pace. That's not to say she isn't good with other dogs, though! She just tends to prefer a dog that's more mellow and not up in her face.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who's ready to soak up all the love you have to give, Halli just might be your girl.
This dog, as well as several other dogs and puppies, are currently in our program through a special collaboration with Siskiyou County Animal Control. Due to severe overcrowding and limited resources in the region, many shelters are faced with incredibly difficult decisions. Together, we’re working to give these dogs a better chance by finding them loving homes or transferring them to partner rescues. They’re available for adoption just like our Rescue Ranch pups — but because of the urgency of the situation, they may be transferred quickly. If you're interested, we highly encourage you to act fast — they deserve a loving home, and it could be yours!
All dogs/p uppies are also microchipped and registered with 911PetChip
