Ruby is an absolute sweetheart with a heart as big as her smile. At almost 8 years old, she’s a gentle, affectionate girl who has already won over everyone she’s met. She simply adores people and is happiest when she’s close to her humans—snuggles are her specialty!
Ruby has a playful sparkle that shines through each day. She LOVES her chew toys, enjoys good meals, and sleeps peacefully through the night. Her zest for life is contagious, and her goofy, “puppy-at-heart” energy will bring joy and laughter to her new home.
She gets along well with other calm, patient dogs who don’t mind her bouncy enthusiasm, and she has ignored the cats she has met. Of course, we always recommend proper introductions for all animals.
Ruby would thrive in a caring home with someone who can give her the love she deserves. Ruby does have mild arthritis and reduced vision and would thrive in a home with limited stairs. With a little TLC, she’ll be your loyal, loving companion for years to come.

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
