It was a misty morning on May 8th, 2025, when a new mystery arrived at the gates of the Richland County Dog Shelter. Cody, a 5-year-old hound dog, had appeared—mud on his paws, nose to the ground, and a look in his eyes like he’d just solved the Case of the Missing Sausage.
A classic hound of the highest order, Cody is driven by his trusty sniffer. Wherever a scent may lead, Cody is hot on the trail—ears flapping, tail high, determination unwavering. But don’t let his detective instincts fool you—beneath that keen sense of smell lies a heart of gold and an eager spirit just waiting for his forever partner in crime-solving (or cuddling).
