Percy was found being dumped in a local park. She is very loyal, loving, tolerant with children but she is protective and a little territorial sometimes so best with older children who can respect her boundaries. Alpha female/ dog aggressive in certain cases/ needs case by case with dog homes... Overall she is really fantastic. My only concern for her is that she has been growling sometimes when my son walks past her BUT this is only as a warning - She tolerates him incredibly, she will let him dump his toys all over her and play on her but she really has no desire to actually play with him at all. She just wants loves and hugs from my husband and then she retreats and his pretty much a lazy dog when she's inside. Outdoors, she runs very fast. She loves to chase butterflies and dragonflies, and she is leash trained. Off a leash in a controlled environment, she will also return with you and not run away. I have yet to attempt to take her to a dog park, but my husband took her to the park jogging and she jogged around the whole thing with him off of a leash, he said she ran into the woods a few times and came back out right back with him.And then hopped right back in the car. My only real concern with her. Is she has some type of anxiety? After a few instances, we realized she definitely was abused. Because she is scared. If you raise an object in your hand for any reason she cowers... Also, she is absolutely terrified of the thunder and rain. I know that's not short, but hopefully enough for you to gather a few things to put about her. Does not do good with cats. If you’re interested please message or call Kelly at (843) 625-9920! Located in SC and will transport for foster or forever home!
