Brita is a strong, muscular build girl with a short, beautiful brindle coat.
Low maintenance coat requiring minimal grooming. She is affectionate and playful but very shy with people she doesn't know.
She is very intelligent and athletic. Crate trained, house broken and just started basic training. She will require consistent controlled socialization and ongoing training to ensure she develops into well-adjusted adult. Will make great family companions. While she has a robust and muscular appearance, she is actually placid in nature. She will need positive, fair training. She does NOT show to have a high prey drive but may get too excited with kittens or small puppies.
Some dogs can be an emotional support dog, this girl needs her own emotional support person. She needs to know she is loved and guided. She needs to know she is secure. She needs individual attention to help her grow emotionally in new situations. Her emotional support human should be one that is confident, calm and understands basic canine body language.
She would do best with a patient person that can offer a secure and structured family environment, She can walk on a leash but not totally comfortable with the idea. A home with a small fenced in yard would be preferred.
She prefers to be INSIDE with her human, and loves cuddles.
Although she LOVES water, go luck getting her to go outside in the rain.
She loves other dogs.
She is good with other dogs; big or small.
Would be fine as the only dog but can benefit from a mature dog that can help teach her the ways and rules of the home. She has a moderate energy level, and may come on like a wrecking ball when she first meets another dog, so low introductions would be best.
She will receive started food, new leash, new collar, transition food, post adoption support and of course she medical records.

Approve Application
Please allow 48-72 hrs for an application to be reviewed.
We conduct research & background checks behind the screens.

Meet the Pet
Once, approved a meet & greet may be scheduled. Most meet & greets take place at the rescue site.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Please bring your ID. You must be over 18 years old to sign the contract. Address on ID must match application
5.
Pay Fee
We accept Paypal, Venmo and cash. No checks. Adoption fee is required at the time of adoption.
6.
Take the Pet Home
You will be provided a leash & collar to go home. All adoptions come with a 14 day trial period & post adoption support.
