My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello all! My name is Kojo, and I am a shiny, gorgeous Shepherd Mix who arrived at the shelter in mid-January. I can be a little shy and nervous at first, but once I get to know you I warm up pretty quickly. I am a truly devoted and affectionate boy who also happens to be a massive cuddle bug. I bond quickly with my people, and my favorite thing in the world would be loving on my new family. I am a very easy walker with top notch leash manners. I am a social guy and have had some doggie friends at the shelter, but my BFF just got adopted. I'm hoping I'm next! I'd love to meet you so please call the shelter to schedule an appointment for a meet and greet. Just ask for Kojo, I'm waiting.

More about this shelter

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society (SGVHS) was founded by Fannie Thompson Kessler in 1924.

For almost 100 years, the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society has provided a variety of services to the local communities. Currently we serve the cities of San Gabriel, Temple City and Duarte.

We provide food, shelter and medical care to hundreds of dogs and cats who are stray and homeless, or have been rescued from abusive conditions or relinquished by their owners.

Please consider giving one of our animals a forever home. If you’re looking to adopt a life-long furry companion, we invite you to visit our Shelter!
