Pax is a beautiful black and white tuxedo that is ready to add some excitement to your household!
He was brought to the rescue after serving his time at the Dickinson Impound. His history is a mystery but this is what we know: he was not using his back legs when he arrived and was having incontinence episodes. He has been thoroughly examined by two veterinarians and has had numerous tests (including a CT scan, urinalysis, etc.) to rule out any possibility of trauma that might be the answer to his sporadic incontinence. His urine did come back positive for crystals, which has been resolved with medication and prescription food. He has also been neutered to help with any territorial spraying.
Pax does use a litter box, although not 100% of the time. He will require a patient home as he continues to regain strength in his back legs and his litter box habits improve slowly over time. Please note that FFRR cannot guarantee and makes no claim that he will ever use his litter box 100% of the time, which is why he requires a special household that will understand the type of care and environment that he needs.
Bonus Points: he seems to get along with other cats and enjoys their company! Pax has been making improvements with his litter box habits and loves exploring and the company of other cats.
Please consider giving this special boy the loving home that he deserves. He is waiting for you and would love to meet you!
Pax is also available to foster if you would like to provide him a temporary stay while he's waiting for his forever home.
