My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macie Rose is one of our longest residents at the shelter. She has spent 7 years waiting for her forever home. Though she is quiet, affectionate, and well-mannered, her medical condition has led to being overlooked. Macie Rose has congestive heart disease that requires two daily medications, Lasix and Benzodiazepine. These are quite inexpensive drugs but must be given daily for the rest of her life.
Medical condition aside, when she is out of her kennel, she loves to explore the play yard. She’s good at both relaxation and play, depending on what the occasion calls for. She’ll enjoy a game of fetch or to curl up beside you. She loves walks and she is super easy on leash!
Macie Rose has lived with cats before and has a calm demeanor that makes her an ideal companion. We'd love to find her a home for the holidays!

More about this rescue

Indigos Rescue Ranch and Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide care, shelter, fostering opportunities and adoptive homes for Jackson County’s homeless dogs until such time as we can find them a suitable “forever home.” Regardless of breed, size or age, we accept dogs into our shelter and ensure they have safe and happy lives while we seek suitable homes for them. We believe so strongly in our mission, that where hard to place dogs are concerned (e.g., older, disabled or special needs dogs), Indigo’s becomes their forever home so they may live out their lives with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
