Found surviving in the bushes along County Rd 80 in Shorter, Alabama, Victoria and Tory are two beautiful mixed-breed dogs whose bond helped them endure the toughest of times. Alone, hungry, and unsure of who to trust, they stuck together through it all — a true testament to the power of companionship and resilience.
Thankfully, their lives changed forever when Lori Allen spotted them and brought them to safety here at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Since arriving, Victoria and Tory have slowly begun to open up, showing us glimpses of the loving, loyal dogs they’re meant to be. Their eyes are softer now, their tails wag a little more each day, and they’re learning what it means to be safe, cared for, and loved.
Whether they stay together or find forever homes separately, what matters most is that they finally have a second chance — one filled with kindness, soft beds, and people who see just how special they are.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. All of the donations made go to benefit the dogs whether its food, vet care, supplies, medications, toys, dog beds, etc. Please visit our help page on our website for more information on what donations we need and also how to donate.

This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. You are welcomed to come to the ranch seven days a week or you can make an appointment with our adoption desk. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
