Interview
This helps Evergreen Animal Protective League with pet care costs.
All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please do not contact EAPL about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, including information on history, vaccines, etc.
Please contact me at Chris 303-570-1481 A1kgb@comcast.net
Lexi is a Mini Australian Shepherd that has been rescued from a home that neglected her by isolating her and they didn’t take the time to train her properly. She is high energy and has a high prey drive so she shouldn’t be in a home with cats and preferably where she is the only dog. I am training her. She is housebroken but needs room to run. She is ok with other dogs once she gets to know them. She needs lots of socialization. Lexi is a loving dog with unlimited potential if she goes to the right household.
She needs a home with someone who is active, and preferably a home that has a yard. She knows her name very well and will come when called. She likes to chase cars, so that has to be dealt with. Lexi is getting better but needs some more work.
Lexi needs love and attention. With the right environment, she will be a fantastic dog for years to come. She shows signs of being hit and screamed at, but with hard work and a lot of love, she is coming around nicely.
I adopted her and would keep her, but I have cats. I don’t want her to go back into any shelter as I feel it would set her recovery back. So I have decided to rehome her and continue working with her until I find her the best possible home where she will be loved and can thrive.
