Here's what the humans have to say about me:
STANDARD POODLE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Meet Snowball, a most affectionate dog with a lot of love to give.
The first several years of Snowball’s life were not easy. He was then rescued, and learned what it was like to live in a home and be cherished. Unfortunately, life can sometimes deal us a bad hand, and Snowball was reluctantly surrendered to Kiko when his owner could no longer care for him.
Snowball (aka Snowy) has been in a temporary foster home for almost two weeks, and adjusted to his caregivers right away. Foster mom Christa reports that he has a good appetite, likes lying in the sun, and enjoys going on walks. He’s a real people kind of guy and loves being with them, so someone who is home a good part of the day is a must. Snowball has had a few daytime accidents in the house that Christa is working on, but he is clean through the night. A consistent routine has been put in place and we are seeing good results. In addition to walks, outside access for quick bathroom breaks would be optimal.
Snowball weighs in at 43 pounds (but needs to put on some weight), and the vet estimates his age to be about 9 years. Lab work came back all good and aside from an ear infection he’s being treated for, he’s in good health. Snowball is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and has a May 29 appointment to have his teeth cleaned.
If you’re looking for a devoted companion and couch buddy to cuddle with, Snowball would love to meet you. Snowball is used to living with cats and other dogs, but is also happy getting all the attention himself. A quiet home without the activity of very young children would suit him best. Since he is sometimes vocal when left alone, Snowball would not be suitable for apartment life.
Please note that we do not do DNA testing and cannot guarantee Snowball’s breed.
If you’re interested in adopting Snowball, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at www.kikodogrescue.ca. We are active in the Greater Montreal and Eastern Ontario areas, and are also open to applicants from elsewhere willing to drive to us.
