My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Champagne & Sauvignon: The Dynamic Duo
Introducing Champagne and Sauvignon, two adorable Mini Australian Shepherds with hearts as big as their playful spirits. Abandoned at a cemetery alongside their Mini Pyrenees friend, Chardonnay, these resilient pups are now looking for their forever home, but there's a catch—they're a bonded pair and cannot be separated.
Unique Challenges and Needs
Champagne and Sauvignon are victims of irresponsible breeding practices, specifically the breeding of double merles, which often results in health issues. While their vision is intact, they are hearing impaired. However, they are not completely deaf; they respond well to squeaky toys but may not hear everything. This means they require an adopter who is not only loving but also conscientious about their safety.
Ideal Home Environment
These girls are about two years old and each weighs approximately 28 pounds. They are extremely friendly, active, and absolutely love playtime. Here’s what you need to know about their ideal living situation:
Adopter Requirements: They need someone who understands their unique needs and can provide a safe environment.
Playfulness: Champagne and Sauvignon are energetic and enjoy the company of children and other dogs.
Training: They are fair on a leash and quick learners.
Safety: They stay well within a secure fence, ensuring they can play safely.
Health and Adoption Details
Both Champagne and Sauvignon are in excellent health. They are up-to-date on all vaccinations, have been spayed, are heartworm negative, and microchipped. Additionally, they have each received a ProHeart 12 injection, offering heartworm protection for 12 months.
How to Adopt
Champagne and Sauvignon are available for adoption through Barking Mad Animal Rescue. If you’re interested in bringing these delightful pups into your home, please fill out an application. The link to the application can be found in the rescue's post.
These two are more than just pets—they are loving companions ready to fill your home with joy and laughter. Will you be the one to give Champagne and Sauvignon the loving home they deserve?
Adoption fees to the Maritimes are $625 per dog. But for this pair...the total is $800 USD because they are special needs and cannot be separated. Payment plans are available.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
