Meet Niles, a 6-year-old large tan and black pup with the most gentle, loyal soul. He's a truly chill companion who loves affection and just being in your presence, often lying happily by your side. Friendly and social with people, Niles is a delightful, low-energy dog who loves stuffies, naps, back scratches, and a good car ride (especially if a pup cup is involved!).
Niles walks like a true gentleman on a leash—no pulling or tugging—and he's happy to observe other dogs from a distance. He's a polite housemate: he barely barks, doesn't jump, listens well, and is respectful around human food. He's generally content in his crate, and as long as he has his human, a soft toy, or a Kong, he is a happy boy.
Because of his sensitivity and specific needs (he's currently working on mastering stairs and is nervous around the TV), Niles would do best as the only pet in the home. He is best suited to an adult-only home or one with older, respectful children. A child meet-and-greet is required to ensure it’s the right fit.
If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing dog who is happiest indoors and ready to be your constant, devoted, and lovable companion, Niles is ready to be your best friend.
