Meet ROSIE, a little over a year Shepherd mix. She was found at Clendening Lake with 2 other dogs, all skin and bones. The original owner surfaced online. She didnt live anywhere near this county and claimed she gave them away to someone who also gave them away, but no names could be recalled. The other 2 girls who came in with ROSIE have been adopted so that leaves ROSIE without a family to call her own. ROSIE has been taking part in the Cell Dog Training Program at the Belmont Correctional Institution (BeCI) where she has learned basic obedience and housebreaking. She is a sweet girl who can be timid upon meeting new people. She is afraid of kids so she won't be placed with a family with young children. ROSIE is good with other dogs but can sometimes want to be the alpha so a more submissive friend would be preferred. We don't know about cats. She is fully vetted and housebroken and ready to join a family.
