Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This 2-year-old, 9-pound nugget is chock full of chihuahua personality. While he is sometimes cautious when he meets someone new, he quickly bonds to his new person. He loves a lap, a snuggle, and a playful romp. He has all that chihuahua joy. He will follow his person everywhere. The dude is obsessed with tennis balls of all sizes and always ready for a game of fetch. He is house trained.
Shamrock has lived peaceably with dogs of all shapes and sizes, but he’s more interested in humans than dogs. He walks well on a leash and loves to explore. He’d be great with an owner with a fenced in yard but that’s not a requirement.
None of us are perfect, and Shamrock is no exception. He comes with typical chihuahua challenges and would relish an owner who gets his breed. He can sometimes show fear aggression with a new person, which
can be properly managed by someone who knows the chihuahua mindset. Because he can be reactive to unpredictable human movements, he should only be in an adult-only house. And because he has a loud voice and not afraid to use it, he needs an environment where his owner and neighbors will tolerate it. Shamrock would prefer a cat free environment.
Shamrock is a little bud waiting for the right person to help him blossom and reach his full potential. He’s the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and will give the right owner years of joy. He is a dog that you will feel you truly rescued.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
