Hello I'm Pixie! I'm a little shy but once I come out of my shell I am super loving and love to play! I do well with other dogs, but I can be picky. I don't mind kids at all too! I love to play in the water, walk around/hike, people watch, and hangout with you! I can get nervous in crowds, but once I find a place to sit, I'm a good girl <3 I also do well in cars and really like car rides! My leash skills are pretty good, but do need some working on. I came into the shelter with my puppies and was very protective of them, but now all of them found great homes! Come and talk to me by filling out an application and meeting with our adoptions staff!
¡Hola, soy Pixie! Soy un poco tímida, pero una vez que salgo de mi caparazón, soy súper cariñosa y me encanta jugar. Me llevo bien con otros perros, pero puedo ser exigente. ¡Tampoco me molestan los niños! Me encanta jugar en el agua, pasear/hacer senderismo, observar a la gente y pasar tiempo contigo. Me pongo nerviosa entre multitudes, pero una vez que encuentro un lugar donde sentarme, soy una buena chica <3. También me porto bien en los coches y me encantan los paseos en coche. Sé comportarme bastante bien con la correa, pero aún necesito mejorar un poco. Llegué al refugio con mis cachorros y era muy protectora con ellos, ¡pero ahora todos han encontrado un hogar estupendo! Ven a hablar conmigo rellenando una solicitud y reuniéndote con nuestro personal de adopciones.

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets through rescue, adoption and spay and neuter programs.
The new HSOY shelter is a state-of-the-art, beautiful facility that provides a safe, healthy, and humane environment for the thousands of animals that enter our care each year. It is a centrally located facility that offers a welcoming atmosphere, and hosts an onsite spay/neuter vaccination clinic aimed at reducing Yuma's homeless pet overpopulation and providing lifesaving vaccinations.
Since 1963, the Humane Society of Yuma has been devoted to the rescue, care, placement, and population control of Yuma's orphaned and homeless pets with animal welfare as the sole priority. The Humane Society of Yuma is a non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors and is independently funded by donations, grants, and municipal contracts; this funding is utilized to support the adoptions, clinic services, rescue partners, foster program, and community education of animal welfare and protection.
