Meet Kayak! Kayak is a young guy looking for a fresh start in a home. He came to us as a stray and was absolutely terrified at first. He has come a long way and is a lovable goofball with staff, but still takes a minute to warm up to strangers. With a little bit of patience, a gentle voice and reassuring touch, Kayak is ready to be your best friend! He loves his humans and his ideal family is one that will give him plenty of love and attention. He is a young guy that will still need some help with potty training and basic skills, but he is a fast learner. Kayak has done well with other dogs but prefers his dog friends to be on the more calm side. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Kayak home. OUR MISSION: It is the mission of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to provide an environment of continuous improvement; emphasizing excellent service and safety for the community; providing the dogs and people of Fairfield County protection, care, and compassion with innovative, yet sustainable means; all while maintaining a standard of the utmost integrity.
It is the purpose of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter to embrace the dogs of the community; to keep lost or adoptable dogs safe until they can find their way home; to protect Fairfield County through the enforcement of Section 955 of the Ohio Revised Code , and to continue to provide the community with education opportunities on the importance of pet safety and population control.
