Rukus is a 9-month-old (DOB 11/15/24), 55-pound pup who’s as fun and lovable as they come. Don’t let his name fool you—he’s a sweetheart through and through! He loves a good game of fetch with tennis balls or frisbees, and he’ll happily splash into the water for a swim if it means chasing after a toy. When he isn’t playing fetch, he’s romping with his foster dog siblings (often with a ball still in his mouth!) or heading out for a walk with his people.
This happy boy has wonderful manners with other animals—he’s respectful of his grouchy older foster sister, gets along beautifully with cats, and absolutely adores kids. He has a moderate energy level: active and playful when it’s time for fun, but also content to chew on a bone or curl up for snuggles on the couch when playtime is done.
Rukus is house-trained, food-motivated, and a quick learner who already knows “sit” and “down.” He’s been to outdoor events and handled meeting new people like a pro. While he isn’t the biggest fan of a crate, he does fine when needed and can be trusted to settle nicely when left out with his foster siblings.
His ideal family might include kids to play with, doggy companions to run around with, or an active lifestyle that keeps him engaged. A fenced yard or plenty of space to play would be the icing on the cake for this boy who loves to run. Rukus is ready to bring joy, fun, and unconditional love to his forever family!
His adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
