Crème Brulee is a petite beautiful gal who is 7 years old (born 8/28/2017). She has a personality as sweet as the dessert she was named after when it comes to people but she does not do well with other cats so she needs to be an only cat in her new forever home. We are not sure how she will do with dogs or children as she has never lived with any before.
Crème can be very chatty when she wants attention or if she wants to get involved in whatever you’re doing. She likes it when you talk to her and she is a very good listener. She purrs for very long periods of time and VERY loudly once you get her going with pets.
Crème enjoys being brushed and she will let you know when she has had enough with a quick bat at your hand (not with claws extended). She is a lap cat and can be quite adamant about getting into your lap, especially on cold days when you’re bundled up watching TV or enjoying a good book. If the blanket is extremely soft, you may even catch her “making biscuits” by kneading on it.
She loves people and wants to be involved with whatever her people are doing. She is also good about politely establishing her boundaries. She is very food motivated and will let you know if she thinks you may miss her breakfast or dinner. A few years ago she was overweight but her family was able to get her to a good weight now so it will be important to continue to keep her on that path so she stays a healthy weight.
Crème is very curious when people visit but she would prefer to get acquainted with people before greeting them. If she approaches visitors on her own, she won’t hide but at first she will likely keep her distance for a bit to watch people but once she knows you, she will happily come by to say hello. She loves playing with a laser pointer and chasing strings and she enjoys her scratchers and looking out the window. She loves sleeping with you and if it’s cold, she may occasionally try to sneak under the covers.
