Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Confident - Playful - Affection
Meet Kopa, a confident, playful, and well-rounded adult cat who truly enjoys human companionship. When Kopa first came into care in March 2024 at just two years old, he was a very different boy—scared, unsure, and learning how to feel safe in an unfamiliar world. With time, patience, and love, Kopa has settled in into a charming, larger-than-life panther-like cat. His thick, ultra-soft fur and plush tail are just the beginning of his appeal. He seeks out affection, enjoys attention, and carries himself with quiet confidence. Kopa isn’t your typical black cat—there’s something undeniably special about him. From his striking presence to his gentle, affectionate nature, Kopa is ready to find a home of his own.

More about this shelter
The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
