Hi, I’m Misty.
I’m about 2 years old, and I’ve been through a lot lately.
My favorite person — the one who always made me feel safe and loved — passed away. Since then, everything has been different. I came here with my buddy Sam, so I’m used to having another cat around. We were also in a home with dogs, and while I’m a little nervous right now, I might be okay with a gentle dog who knows how to be kind to a quiet cat like me.
I’m on the shy side, and new places (and people) can be a little scary for me. But even though I’m scared, I’ve never been mean — no swatting or hissing, I just try to stay small and quiet until I feel safe again.
What I really need is someone patient and kind, someone who’ll give me time to settle in and understand that love can grow slowly and quietly. If you have a calm home and a gentle heart, I’d really love the chance to start over with you.

We are located at 3 Arrow Avenue in Cody Wyoming. Our adoption hours are Monday through Saturday from noon-5:00. We have amazing dogs and cats!

We are a small animal shelter located in the heart of the old west, Cody Wyoming. The majority of our funding comes from an amazing community of animal lovers who give whenever they can to help the many homeless pets in Park County. We currently have the facilities to care for as many as 25 dogs and 60 cats at a time. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and we are not affiliated with any political action organizations.
