Meet LUNA, an 8-year-old purebred black poodle looking for her forever home
This sweet, well-trained girl is housebroken, knows several fun tricks, and stays off furniture unless invited. Luna is calm, gentle, and seems to do well with other dogs when properly introduced, though she is currently the only dog in her foster home. She has a history of seizures, but hasn’t had any since entering the foster program and takes her medication reliably twice a day. Luna loves going for walks, playing, and snuggling up for cuddles. She’s a quiet, loving companion who will bring warmth and joy to the right home.

Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
