Meet Baxter – A Sweet Soul Looking for a Calm Home

Baxter is an 8-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to find his perfect match. He’s a quiet, gentle boy who loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch, enjoying a cozy movie night, and being near his people.

He does best in a calm home without other dogs—he’s not dangerous but can be dog aggressive, he prefers to be the only pup. He gets along well with cats and would be happiest with a single person, a couple, or someone older who appreciates a laid-back companion.

Baxter is a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly loving. He does have some anxiety during thunderstorms, but sitting with him and offering a few treats helps ease his nerves.

If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate dog to share your days with, Baxter might be the perfect fit.
