Meet Tomie!

A charming five-year-old Domestic Shorthair currently living in Hays, TX, whose sleek black coat and soulful eyes are matched only by his playful spirit and cuddle-loving heart.

Tomie is a one-of-a-kind kitty companion—a confident, affectionate fellow who thrives in the spotlight as the only pet in the home. While some cats enjoy a bustling feline crew, Tomie is happiest when he’s the solo star of the show, soaking up every moment of attention from his favorite human. He’s a true shadow cat, quietly trailing behind you from room to room, always curious and always close. Even your bathroom breaks might include a soft little “meow” chorus just to remind you he’s nearby and ready for love!

At 11 pounds of pure purrfection, Tomie brings big personality in a medium-sized package. He’s a lap-sitter extraordinaire, often curling up like a plush blanket while you relax—or gently snoozing across your chest, content as can be. Pick him up like a baby and he’ll melt into your arms, eyes half-closed in total trust!

When playtime rolls around, Tomie transforms into a string-chasing ninja. Feather wands, shoelaces, and the infamous red dot from a laser pointer all send him dashing and leaping with joyful precision! He also enjoys lighthearted play-fights with your hands—nothing too rough, just enough to keep both of you giggling. His inquisitive nature makes puzzle feeders and treat dispensers a hit, giving him a healthy outlet for his sharp mind and natural hunter instincts.

Tomie thrives on routine, especially when it comes to his twice-daily meals. He’s very food-motivated and has no problem letting you know when dinner is due, though a timed feeder can help keep everyone’s schedule running smoothly.

Tomie is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He’s been under some stress in his current apartment setting, especially since sharing space with another cat, and would blossom in a calm, spacious home with a caring guardian ready to spoil him with affection and daily playtime.
