My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT ORION
This handsome little man is a 1-year-old terrier mix! Orion came to HAP when he was found wandering as a stray. Sadly, no one came looking for him. Despite being in the shelter, this pup is just happy to make new friends! Orion is a playful, snuggly, and social pup. He has loved participating in our Doggy Day Out program, here's what our volunteers had to say about him:

"Spent this very hot morning with Orion! He is the cutest boy ever and such a cuddle bug! Since it was too hot out to be outside we stayed in the air conditioned car cuddling and watching love island! We also got a pup cup and went to petsmart to get some toys!" - Jordan

"I had a wonderful DDO with Orion last Thursday. He is a sweet little puppy who was excited to explore. He had no issue getting in and out of the car. We took a nice walk at Brandywine Creek State Park. He walked very well on a leash. He perked up every time we walked by someone and absolutely loved all the attention he got. He loved snuggle time:) Orion will make a great buddy to anyone who is lucky enough to adopt him!" - Beth

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
