My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stewie is a 3 year old all american medium sized mutt.

Stewie will need some patience in a new home as he hasn't lived in a home before. Stewie may be able to live with another dog, but has yet to be cat tested.

Stewie would do best in a home with a fenced yard and no children.

This handsome guy still needs to learn a lot of things, like walking on leash. Anyone interested in meeting him should know they'll need a lot of patience and grace while they learn.

The adoption fees are:

DOGS - $150 - Includes 2 Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine, 2 Wormings, Flea Treatment (if needed), Vet Technician Check-up, Spay/Neuter, microchipping, heartworm/lyme test.

CATS - $50 - Same as Dogs. Also a Combination Leukemia/FIV Test and Ear
Mite Treatment.

PUPPIES - $100 + Varying Mandatory Spay/Neuter Deposit - Includes 1 or 2
Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine (if 3 months or older), 1 or 2
Wormings, Flea Treatment (if needed.)

KITTENS - $15 + Varying Mandatory Spay/Neuter Deposit - Includes 1 or 2
Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine (if over 3 months), 1 or 2 Wormings,
Flea Treatment (if needed), FELV Tested, Ear Mite Treatment.

The Spay/Neuter Deposit when adopting a puppy or kitten is required by state law. It is refunded at the time the puppy or kitten is spayed/neutered or covers the price of their spay or neuter in full at our Vets office.

Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter operates as a
"quality of life" shelter, and the devoted workers
are committed to making sure that every animal
in their care has exactly that.

All adult animals are spayed and neutered
prior to being made available for adoption.

In addition, all animals receive all necessary shots,
wormings, and other medical treatments.

All would-be adoptive families are carefully screened
before being allowed to take home any pet. In this
way, each adopted animal is assured of a good and
loving home.
