Meet Alexandre, a handsome Domestic Shorthair gray tabby born around 3/3/2025.
There is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a shy cat, and Alexandre is the perfect example of why that patience pays off. Much like his mom, he can be a little reserved when you first say hello, preferring to observe his surroundings before diving in. But once he feels safe, the transformation is magical. Behind that initial shyness is a spirited, fun-loving boy just waiting to blossom. Alexandre is a toy connoisseur! His absolute favorite pastimes involve chasing wand toys at high speed and batting around his collection of furry mice. If you are looking for a way to bond, interactive play is the key to his heart.
Alexandre is looking for a family who understands that the best friendships take a moment to build. He needs a home where he can settle in at his own pace. In return for your patience and gentle encouragement, you will gain a deeply affectionate and entertaining companion who will keep you smiling with his playful antics.
His adoption fee is $105.00

Adopters must be 21 years or older and willing to invest the time and money required to care for a pet. In addition to providing love and attention, regular medical care is required. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs.
Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.
If you feel that you are ready to adopt, please e-mail adoptions@nbcrtx.org for prompt attention. A NBCR adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an interview.
