Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Atticus! He is a good boy with a big heart and adorable underbite! Atticus is two-years-old and 55lbs of sweetness.
Atticus is the kind of pup who believes every new person is a new friend. He adores humans and shows it by giving hugs, leaning in close for cuddles, and rolling over for belly rubs. His favorite adventures include trips to the beach, running around the park, rolling in the grass, and relaxing by your side.
He loves games of fetch, tasty treats, and showing off his goofy smile. He’s also happy to show you the tricks he knows, plus he is already crate trained.
Atticus is looking for an active family that understands that exercise, enrichment and structure are good for young pups like him. He plays well with other friendly dogs once they are property introduced. And is friendly with the cats he meets at the shelter! If you think that might be you, please fill out an application at AbandonedPetRescue.org.
If you’d like to follow his journey and see more of his charming personality, you can find him on Instagram at @Atticus_apr.
Atticus is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He's available for adoption at Abandoned Pet Rescue, a no-kill shelter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
