Wiley is a beautiful, 3-year-old, 10-pound, Domestic Shorthair cat who needs a little time to bloom, but once she trusts you, she`s the sweetest companion you could ask for. She is a bit shy and needs a quiet, safe environment where she can settle in at her own pace. While she may initially hide, the thing she wants most is to be close to her person. Wiley absolutely loves getting pets and will give you lots of purrs and snuggles once she feels safe. She would do best in a home without other cats, as they`re a little too much energy for her. If you have a calm, loving home and are ready to cherish this shy girl, Wiley is waiting for you!
Wiley is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

If you are adopting a dog, we recommend a dog meet and greet with your current dogs.

Cat and Dog survey may be filled out online at babinskifoundation.org, or in person at the facility.

The staff will review your application! Please bring all necessary documents such as pet lease agreements signed by your landlord.

The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
