My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate date of birth 04/01/2022 | Priska's story is one of inspiration and second chances. When caught, she was heavily pregnant and very scared, but surprisingly submissive. She delivered soon after and, unfortunately, lost her babies. When she went in to be spayed, it was discovered that she had pyometra and was a very sick girl. Another week without help would have proven fatal for her. Fortunately, the problem was surgically removed during the spay procedure, resulting in a full recovery to a healthy and thriving life. Priska has a wonderful demeanour with a comforting nature, lacking only in confidence. She is a sweet and gentle girl, but her insecurity makes her hesitant. With reassurance and a gentle hand, she enjoys affection and is so very huggable! The spunky, playful side of her delights in an assortment of toys. To add to the mix, she is the cutest little beggar who emits a heart-melting squeak for her favourite treat. Her soothing presence has helped to calm and reassure other apprehensive felines, providing them the opportunity for a better life. Now Priska is ready for a family of her own to love and nurture her, thereby building her confidence. |Likes cats | Has not met kids, but optimistic | Has not met dogs, but optimistic about gentle dogs. | Health information: All cats and kittens are spayed and neutered, preventatively dewormed, and microchipped. In addition, they are FeLV/FIV tested and vaccinated as appropriate by age. | Interested in adopting? Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
