This young dog is a special needs tripod.
Meet Copper, a healthy, adorable, loving Cocker Spaniel pup. He is a neutered, reddish buff boy, 9 months old. His owner got him as a young, playful pup. He was dearly loved and happy. One day he was playful, ran outside and jumped off their deck. His left rear leg was broken in multiple pieces. At only 5 months old, their vet said the best option was to amputate his leg. While recovering, he was trying to adjust and bit their child.
Best home for this tripod pup is an adult home with children 13 and older. No young kids or young grandchildren. To keep him happy and safe, no stairs, doggie doors or homes with a deck. A securely fenced yard, either chain link or privacy is a must. No big dogs but he can be with a small, friendly, easy going companion dog who is dog social and would love to have a pal. He needs someone willing to work with him and train him. He does have some minor issues which seem to be related to frustration. He is a sweet boy, loves toys, is crate trained and did well at the groomer. No apartments or condos-he can be a bit vocal at times. He will need patience and kindness at vet visits around other dogs.
