Jasmine is a 9-year-old hound and heeler (cattle dog) mix who weighs 59 lbs. Jasmine has a sad story. She was rescued from Texas in 2019 when she was 3 years old. She lived in a loving home for 5 years until her mother could no longer take care of her due to illness. Hoping that her mother would get better, Jasmine was boarded for over a year, but the family realized a reunion was not possible, so they entrusted PK to find Jasmine a new home. Jasmine is friendly, calm, and intelligent. Her owner states that she has some fear of loud noises and strangers, although she has been friendly with the many new people she’s met at the shelter. Jasmine has a sensitive tummy and skin, so she will need to be on special food. She is potty-trained and crate-trained, though she can be trusted to roam free while alone. Jasmine should be the only pet, as she does not like other dogs or cats. She has spent time around children as young as toddlers and done well. Help give Jasmine a happy ending to her sad story.
