My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Artemis
Age: 1–2 years
Breed: Tortoiseshell (Tortie)
Special Feature: Tipped ear, big heart

Artemis is a stunning tortie with a story as sweet as she is. Found on a dairy farm as a young mom, she raised three beautiful kittens with love and patience. Once her babies were weaned, it was clear she was too affectionate to return to the outdoor life—so now she’s looking for a cozy forever home of her own.

She’s gentle, affectionate, and a little sassy in the best way. Artemis loves to dole out affection—and yes, that includes her signature soft love bites (don’t worry, they never hurt—she’s just a little passionate!) She’s curious, loving, and would thrive in a calm home where she can soak up attention and return it tenfold.

She’s spayed, microchipped. FeLV/FIV negative, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She is litter box trained, and ready to leave her farm life behind for good. With her tipped ear as a badge of survival and sweetness, Artemis is looking for someone who will cherish her the way she’s always deserved.

Harlow's Haven Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization the focus on saving the lives of at risk and homeless cats in our community. We provide them with a safe environment in foster homes where they can live cage free and thrive until adoption day.

What is a pre-adoption?
In some cases, a cat or kitten may not be ready to go to their new home right away. We do not adopt cats and kittens before they are spayed/neutered, tested for FELV/FIV and receive age appropriate vaccines. But you may put pay a $75 deposit and sign a pre-adoption agreement to reserve.

When a cat or kitten is ready to go to their new home, the balance of the adoption is required to complete the adoption process, along with the Adoption Agreement.

Microchip
Deworming
Age appropriate vaccinations

Go meet their pets

We currently utilize private foster homes who are located in Adams and York county, as well as Carroll County Maryland. To meet one of our adoptable cats, you must have an approved adoption application. We do not currently have a facility but with generous donors and a great team of volunteers, we hope to have a space in the near future.

More about this rescue

Growing up surrounded by nurses has instilled compassion and a strong sense of service within Chloe. She volunteered at fundraising events for cancer patients for many years, becoming more involved as she got older. As a result of her parents fostering dogs, she became very invested in the idea of finding loving homes for homeless pets. This became even more important to her when her cat, Harlow, came into her life as a stray. With the help of her family, and a great board of directors, her concept for a cat rescue came to life!

We rescue at-risk and homeless cats to provide them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can live until adoption day.
