Meet Chester & Marilyn – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home!

Chester - Oriental Shorthair
Age: 11 ½ years
Neutered, approx 13 lbs
Chester is a huge lovebug! He’s happiest when he's cuddling or simply being close to his person. While he may be shy and skittish at first, once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. His favorite activity? Chasing wand toys—he’ll leap into the air to catch his “prey” with gusto! This sweet boy has asthma, managed with oral steroids twice a week. He’s unable to tolerate inhalers or nebulizers due to anxiety.

Marilyn - Seal Point Siamese
Age: 13 years
Spayed, approx 8 lbs
Marilyn is a gentle and affectionate sweetheart. She’s especially bonded with Chester and always wants to be near him—if he’s out of sight, she’ll search the house calling out for him. She enjoys interactive toys, especially ones with moving balls or chirping sounds. She occasionally vomits, likely due to hairballs, and is currently on hairball prevention food to help manage this.

Chester and Marilyn are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Their connection is strong, and they provide each other with comfort and companionship. Marilyn generally does well with children, but Chester is quite nervous and tends to hide from younger kids (e.g., a 7- and 10-year-old). For this reason, a quieter home—preferably without young children—would be best. Older, respectful kids may be okay. Chester and Marilyn haven’t been around other cats in over 8 years, so it’s unclear how they would adjust. They currently live with a dog, but unfortunately, it’s part of why they are being rehomed. The dog restricts their access to parts of the house, and they deserve the freedom to roam, relax, and enjoy sunny windows without fear.
