You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Walter

Walter didn’t come to us with a lot—not even a name. He was found in a weed-choked yard after his owners abandoned the property and left several dogs behind. Neighbors did what they could, bringing food when they noticed him still there. But Walter spent who-knows-how-long just surviving.

He was matted, dirty, and overlooked—until we scooped him up, cleaned him up, and gave him a new chapter.

Now? Walter is a mellow, soulful guy with the kind of presence that makes you slow down a little. He’s not flashy. He doesn’t beg for attention. But if you sit near him, he’ll quietly lean in, like a dog who understands the value of companionship.

And if reincarnation is real, we’re pretty sure Walter taught English Literature at a small liberal arts college in his past life—probably wore a tweed jacket with elbow patches and had strong opinions about classic poetry.

Walter is looking for a soft place to land—someone who sees beyond the past and wants to be part of his very calm, very lovely future.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is broken down into 4 steps.

Step 1 begins with filling out an application.

Step 2 is a meet and greet with your family members/roommates and existing dogs. (Puppies under 4 months of age will not meet existing dogs)

Step 3 is a home visit. Where we verify the following:
~Where will the dog sleep
~Where will the dog be kept when no one is home
~Where will the dog play

Step 4 is the final step and is when you sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.
