My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A female orange cat! This little momma was rescued off the street in Baltimore's Waverly neighborhood a few weeks after giving birth to a litter of 5 kittens. She is intelligent and observant and is becoming more friendly every day. In the morning, she trots straight over to her people, so overcome with affection that her tail vibrates. Waverly still has some skittish tendencies but is well on her way to being a devoted companion.

This little athlete loves to play, and she is an excellent hunter. She never misses a chance to chase feathers or her stuffed fish toy. She also enjoys Friskies “shreds” canned food, Churu treats, and being brushed with her slicker brush. She is very easy to pick up and handle and she stoically tolerates having her nails clipped or her ears cleaned.

Waverly is a dominant force in her foster home, and tends to chase off more timid cats and other female cats. Her best buddy is her kitten, Waffles. If the other cats are chasing or harassing quiet, gentle Waffles, Waverly instantly comes running to her aid. The two of them are peas in a pod, and it’s so funny to see Waffles imitating more and more of Waverly’s habits! They both prefer resting in a perfect “loaf” position, sit with their tails wrapped neatly over their feet, and do the exact same post-nap stretches.

Waverly and Waffles are phenomenal cats and hope to find a home together. Their adopters should be willing to play with them, and in return, these two kitties will be the wonderful, loyal and affectionate family members!

FRA’s adoption fee includes: all vaccinations, dewormers, flea treatments, combo testing (neg/neg), spay/neuter surgery, and microchipping.
